BI Temporarily Allows Immigrants and Non-Immigrants Without ACR-I Card to Depart the Philippines

The Bureau of Immigration (BI) declared, in a press release on March 27, that foreign nationals are now temporarily allowed to depart the Philippines even without an Alien Certificate of Registration Identity Card (ACR-I Card), given that they have an approved and implemented visa.

Those with pending ACR-I Card should secure a waiver from the BI office.

Requirements to be presented at Philippine Airports:

  • Passport with valid visa
  • Official Receipts of the ACR-I Card Waiver Application Fee
  • Emigration Clearance Certificate (ECC)
  • Returning Permit (RP) or Special Resident Certificate (SRC)*

*whichever is applicable

BI implemented this measure to reduce personal contact in line with the administered Enhanced Community Quarantine (ECQ) and social distancing measures from the government. Foreign nationals are encouraged to retain the said requirements as they will be applied again upon re-entry into the Philippines under their corresponding visa.
